Development Focused Field Trips
This season we will be offering 1,2,and 3 day field trips. We arrange pickup for our local clients the night before our scheduled field trip. During the next day we will get to know your dog by going on a one on one walk with your dog to get a good understanding of your dogs level of training and handling. Once we’re comfortable with each other we will go on 2-3 hunting braces with either our senior bird finding advisor “Jas” or our junior bird finding advisor “Trudy” where we will scratch and claw up the hills of utah chukar country to get the dogs on wild birds. We will be wearing an action camera as well to showcase our work and give you footage of your dog finding wild birds. You gotta see it to believe it!!!
We will provide all of their food while they are in our care. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. We feed purina pro plan sport.However if your dog has specific dietary needs/restrictions we require them to come with their food, as making last minute food accommodations can be too difficult logistically.

Boarding
2-3 Field Trips per week for the duration of the staty
We will accept dogs from out of state after a very in depth consultation and one non biased reference check before going forward to make absolutely sure that we will have a positive and healthy interaction for both your dog and myself. Boarding will be at my home in millcreek and food will be included. Due to local regulations we can only accept two out of state dogs at one time for now.
Health check is required for any dog being boarded with me.

Recall & Field Handling Training
We will offer Here training and field handling as a stand alone service outside of our field trips.
These training sessions will be one on one with the owner and dog at a location close to home that has open space, privacy and closely resembles the hunting environment. The location is subject to change and will be decided on the day before the training session commences.

What We Offer
Due to the nature of wild bird hunting we cannot guarantee that we will have bird interactions each brace and in knowing this we will supplement bird contact with pigeons in the event that we have an unsuccessful day. We only supplement with pigeons so that the dog is going to have bird contact no matter what. Supplementing bird contact is especially important for our 2-4 month olds because we need them to gain confidence that every time they go out they WILL FIND BIRDS. This is what we are trying to create, a dog that genuinely believes that they WILL FIND BIRDS!!!!
Before we accept any dogs we require a free phone consultation to assess the current level of training the dog has. Our expectation is that our clients dogs have a specific level of training by a specific age.
12 + Months
After a dog has reached the year mark and beyond, the level of training is going to mainly depend on the owners specific needs and wants. Our recommendation is that around the year mark is a good time to begin the breaking process.
However this is going to be strongly dependent on the confidence and drive that the dog possesses. Breaking a dog too early can cause a lot of harm in In the potential of the dogs hunting/trialing career. We need fire breathing dragons in the field before we recommend breaking them. As we carry on with your dog we will share our thoughts and experience with them so you can make a better judgment call on when to break them and to what level you want based on your needs.
6-12 Months
At this age our expectation is that our clients dogs will have a bullet proof “Here”, and turn to their name. And we do require that they are E-Collar trained. At this age it is critical that a dog has good recall and handles and turns well because as their drive increases they are going to want to run bigger and chase birds (if they haven't had any steady training put in them yet) and it is critical to their safety that they WILL come when called. A solid recall is absolutely mandatory at this age and older.
4-6 Months
No formal training required, we want our young pups to be wild and free! However, we would like them to have a little experience on a check cord and know their name, and turn to their name. But dont worry! if they dont turn to their name we will be working on this in the field
